Specific Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in Physical Design or related ASIC design domains
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Responsible For
• Lead the Physical Design team through all stages of the ASIC design flow — floorplanning, placement, CTS,
routing, and sign-off.
• Own block-level and top-level implementation using industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Innovus,
Synopsys ICC2, or equivalent).
• Drive timing closure, power optimization, and signal integrity across full-chip designs.
• Manage physical verification (DRC/LVS/ANTENNA/ERC) and work with foundries to ensure
manufacturability compliance.
• Define and maintain PD methodologies, scripts, and automation to improve flow efficiency.
• Provide technical mentorship and leadership to junior physical design engineers.
• Review and analyze timing reports, congestion maps, and design constraints to identify and resolve
bottlenecks.
• Support design reviews, project planning, and schedule tracking to meet tape-out deadlines.
